As a teaching assistant, my responsibilities included the development and presentation of course curriculum for three classes containing a total of thirty-six students. Additional responsibilities included the mentoring and after hours assistance to all Correlational Research students. I also oversaw software research tools such as Sona Systems, assisted students with the use of such software, and reported usage experiences to Christian Brothers University faculty. Lastly, I assisted students with the authoring of research proposals and presentations.
STUDY: The Effects of Music Videos on Aggression 01/05 – 05/05
This study was devised in order to determine the effects of Music Videos on the aggression levels of individuals. For this study, I completed all phases of research from the development of the proposal to presentation of all research findings at the 2005 Mid-South American Psychological Association (APA) Conference. The presentation of the research findings included design of a tri-fold poster which included all research material and findings in textual and graphical formats from SPSS.
STUDY: The Effects of Role Playing on Treatment and Training 08/04 – 12/04
This study was devised in order to determine the positive effects of Role Playing when used in the treatment of mental health patients, and the training of police officers. For this study I completed all phases of research from development of the proposal, design and authoring of an original survey to gather data, to presentation of all research findings to the faculty and students of the Christian Brothers University Psychology Department. One of the unique characteristics of this study was the direct furthering of the knowledge base of information in this area due to the previous scarcity of research on the topic.
