Are you interested in marketing, communications or fundraising and looking to develop your workplace experience in these fields? Le Bonheur Children's Hospital is looking for a intern who is ready to jump in to its office of Institutional Advancement for the Spring and Summer of 2021. This part-time, paid internship will supporting the hospital's social media, digital marketing, communications and fundraising efforts.

The ideal candidate is a current student pursuing a degree in one of the following areas marketing, communications, English, business or other related nonprofit fields. Qualified candidates must be available to work onsite, build and maintain relationships easily with others and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.

Under close supervision, performs entry-level professional duties of moderate difficulty providing the opportunity for professional training in various departments throughout the organization. Performs assigned duties to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for successful performance. May perform duties such as gathering and organizing data to provide information for departmental projects and reports, conduct interviews to obtain basic information for departmental use, and/or contact other departments or outside agencies by phone to request or provide information. Specific activities vary by assignment. Assignments serve to offer practical experience and broad exposure to the organization s structure. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs as indicated in the specific function within the department.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency required to including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and calculating of percentages.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
