Sr Manager Consolidations and Reporting (Sylvamo)

This position is currently located in the IP organization, assigned to the Sylvamo project, and will be transferred to the Sylvamo organization contingent upon the closing of the transaction estimated to occur 10/1/2021.

Responsible for the month end close process for the global consolidated financial statements, including consolidation journal entries as needed.

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and supporting schedules for internal and external reporting

Key Accountabilities:

Responsible for periodic SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K), including:

Prepares the quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting regulations
Compiles information for MD&A
XBRL tagging of financial statements and footnotes
Prepares SEC checklist
Coordinates completion of the US GAAP checklist

Responsible for full earnings press release process, including:
Prepare and review earnings release text, tables and schedules (including footnotes)
Circulate drafts and reviews/incorporates feedback and ensures version control
Coordinate filing of earnings release with 3rd party vendor
Review and provide feedback to Investor Relations on earnings presentation

Responsibilities:

Quarterly review of new accounting standards updates and impacts to consolidated financial statements
Perform and document quarterly impairment considerations
Perform and document annual analysis of reportable segments
Assist with information requests from Internal and External Audit as needed
Coordinate with Corporate Communications on financial information included in marketing materials
Review and transition to latest XBRL taxonomy
Provide financial information for annual environmental financial assurance letters

Technical accounting ownership and guidance, including international accountingResponsible for the LIFO reserve calculationAssist with testing for technical upgrades to the Company's consolidation systemResponsible for the budgeting and forecasting of various corporate cost centers

Lead team responsible for the Company's Health & Welfare plan accounting

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
