Warehouse Supervisor

You will provide overall guidance and resolution for all technical aspects of the distribution and planning areas. These areas include (but are not limited to!) our Warehouse Management System, SAP, and Systems supporting our Automated Guided Vehicles. HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Warehouse Leadership & Technical Aptitude “ You will provide leadership and resolution regarding safety, food safety and operational issues within the warehouse. You will also be responsible for the leadership and resolution on all technical issues for DM+, SAP, ID Systems and the AGV's. You will manage daily operations for all technical aspects including daily system checks, AGV service provider contacts and follow-up. Serve as system liaison for the AGV's and the Memphis Plant.
- Create a Winning Team Culture! “ You will be responsible for leading and developing a positive team culture for hourly warehouse employees on 2nd shift. You will coordinate departmental training as required by the Memphis Warehouse and Logistics personnel.
- Day to Day Operations “ You will continually analyze and evaluate the effective utilization of the Memphis warehouse functions as relating to plant operational requirements. You will also support the Traffic Assistant on shift. It's all about team work!
- Continuous Improvement Mindset “ You will participate and take the lead on assignments and projects as needed to support the Operations Services Manager and the Senior Operations Manager. Let's put your lean and six sigma knowledge into practice!
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in Supply Chain, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:
Required:
- High School Diploma, GED, or international equivalent and experience in logistics or a manufacturing technical background.
- This role is 2nd shift and requires the ability to work 7 days/week
- Ability to handle occasional strenuous physical activity with or without accommodations including long periods of sitting, standing and extended periods of time on their feet.
- Ability to work in extreme heat and cool environments
- Ability to utilize available information and quickly problem solve is essential
- Ability to create multi-shift strategies around automated unit load delivery and manual loading restrictions
- Professional communication skills including excellent written and verbal skills
Preferred:
- SAP Experience
- Working knowledge of AGV (Automated Guided Vehicles) is highly desirable
- Knowledgeable of lean manufacturing and six sigma processes to drive efficiency
