Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of general housekeeping procedures as required through related experience.
  • Ability to give instructions and apply basic management principles as acquired through supervisory experience.
  • Skill and proficiency in oral and written communications similar to that achieved through secondary education.
  • Analytical skills in administrative and technical problem solving related to management of personnel and care of physical plant.
  • Ability to lead and motivate individuals and groups of people toward the accomplishment of work and organizational goals.
  • Ability to plan and schedule tasks and projects and to maintain control of own and other s workflow.
  • Ability to work without close supervision or professional guidance and to exercise independent judgment.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, implements and controls activities and operations for a specific shift.
  • Develops and maintains a competent, efficient, productive and quality conscious workforce by evaluating performance, counseling, training, issuing corrective action, and recommending promotion or discharge of department personnel according to the MLH value system.
  • Assists in establishing and communicating appropriate quality standards for designated services and programs and implements procedures for measuring quality standards.
    Enforces and conducts in-services in safety and infection prevention policies and Environmental Services policies.
  • Implements and administers new and revised programs and/or services established in the business plan with some day-to-day operations/problem solving.

Physical Requirements

  • The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
  • Must have good balance and coordination.
  • The physical requirements of this position are:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
