Purpose:
Inspects electronic systems, assemblies, subassemblies, components and parts for conformance to specifications.
Principle Accountabilities/Duties:
Performs visual inspection of electronic card and sub-assemblies, and systems or units to ensure that all product meets the established specifications for reliability and workmanship.
oUtilizes gages, templates, microscopes and other manufacturing aids to ensure that all products meet the established specifications for reliability and workmanship.
oEnsures that all required process operations have been performed on the product that is being inspected.
oEnters all quality data into the appropriate electronic or manual systems.
oNotifies the appropriate personnel if unusual product defects are identified or if process yields fall below acceptable levels.
oProvides timely feedback to manufacturing if non-conforming product is identified.
oAccurately completes all administrative activities associated with quality inspection.
oPerforms process audits and assists manufacturing with the interpretation of the quality and workmanship standards.
oAssists with the disposition of all non-conforming materials/product.
Job Requirements
Minimum (MUST HAVE)
Qualifications:
High School degree. Typically requires 2-3 years of experience in quality in the high technology electronics industry or related field. Experience in quality control and board level inspection is required. Experience in Microsoft Excel. Having perfect eyesight with or without correcting lenses.
Preferred (NICE TO HAVE) Qualifications :
IPC-A-610
