Summary of Primary Functions:
Responsible for the presentation and development of an effective training program for a high volume, high quality prescription eyewear manufacturing operation. The training program must be compliant with ISO requirements. It includes technical, supervisory and leadership training. Additional responsibilities will include various functions associated with the facility's document control system.
Training
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee the training activities performed by your team
Develop and maintain system to track training hours
Develop methods of analyzing and assessing the effectiveness of the training system and take appropriate actions when needed.
Ensure Training Department's new hire orientation responsibilities are completed.
Design and develop new training materials and programs.
Research and recommend alternative training resources to provide the best training for the investment.
Conduct training sessions for management, supervisors, team leaders and team members.
Ensure the facility's compliance with ISO 9001 training requirements and documentation
Update and revise existing training modules as needed.
Lead planning and development of all team member training plans.
Execute the existing training program for the facility.
Develop and implement a training program for new trainers as well as a program to re-certify existing trainers.
Document Control
Responsibilities:
Ensure site document structure meets network QPs.
Develop FileBound workflow to systematically route documents for approval in the document management system.
Maintain facility user access to FileBound.
Develop Filebound system expertise to enable resolution of Filebound access & other technical issues.
Identify and influence any additional use of FileBound for the facility (ex: CAR/PAR process, training) consistent through the Network.
Assist in development of network/facility training management system (currently manual).
Work with supervisors and management to create visuals (safety alerts, process visuals, quality alerts, quality tests, etc.).
Manage and control Training checklist, and assessments

Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years' experience facilitating/developing training programs in a manufacturing/technical setting.
ABO Certification
Pass all requirements of a Trainer.
AS required, BS degree preferred in Opticianry or Management.
Exceptional presentation skills.
Strong Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) skills.
Ability to work with management in coordination and facilitation to ensure training for all team members within the facility.
Manage and ensure the facility's adherence to ISO 9001
Experience in providing technical and soft skill training in a diverse workplace
Ability to conduct On-the-Job training in a manufacturing setting without causing a distraction.
Good communication (oral and written) skills.
Ability to work with peers and upper management
ISO 9001 certified Lead Auditor
Physical Requirements:
Able to work up to 12 hour shifts, sit or stand for long periods of time. Ability to meet the requirements of the manufacturing area as needed. Repetitive use of hands and wrists. Lift up to 30 pounds.
