Summary of Primary Functions: Responsible for a high volume, high quality prescription eyewear manufacturing operation. Provide leadership to designated shift to meet, and exceed, the manufacturing goals and objectives established for the facility.
Essential
Responsibilities: Responsible to maintain, troubleshoot and
repair
all equipment necessary for manufacturing. This may also include general facility maintenance and construction. The essential job functions are as follows:
Lead the activities of the team members in the production of quality prescription eyewear in accordance with work instructions and company policy to ensure a quality product delivered on time.
Manage the scheduling of production: set work schedules, provide training and coaching, conduct performance evaluations, and set departmental goals and expectations.
Insure the appropriate level of accountability for facility goals and objectives at the team leaders and team members' levels.
Utilize problem solving techniques, teamwork building strategies, process control, and continuous process improvement tools to meet or exceed the facility key operating statistics.
Facilitate team leader workflow management, workforce scheduling, and team members' placement to ensure the facility and company goals are successfully met or exceeded.
Conduct, lead, or implement the appropriate process audits; the audits will identify the need for the appropriate containment, corrective, and preventive actions, leading to minimizing or eliminating process deviations and non-conforming product root causes.
Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Possess a passion for leading and developing our
associatesBachelor degree preferred but not required
Bachelor degree preferred but not required
Proven facilitation and leadership skills
Ability to interact in an effective manner with all levels of the organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
computer
literate with solid Excel skills required
Five to eight years in a manufacturing leadership capacity with quantifiable results
Leadership experience in a Optical (Eyewear) production environment preferred
ISO 9000 and optical training preferred
LEAN manufacturing experience preferred
Must be able to work a rotating shift
