Shipping Supervisor (Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm)

Essential Functions:
Oversees daily mail and shipping activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of shipments.
Ensures department performance meets or exceeds company standards.
Supervises assigned staff with daily shipping activities.
Schedules, directs, assigns work, trains, and ensures tasks/projects are completed in a timely manner and adheres to operational standards.
Motivates employees, assists in goals setting, provides development opportunities and performance feedback, and addresses complaints and provides resolutions.
Plans and directs performance of assigned staff.
Ensures production schedules are met through establishment of procedures.
Monitors work process and makes suggestions for modifications in order to increase and improve productivity, efficiency and accuracy.
Assists with administration of new policies and programs.
Monitors P&L activities for the department.
Makes necessary changes to meet budgetary objectives.
Helps implements program activities, coordinates efforts of production departments and personnel, and resolves problems in areas of logistics to ensure requirements are met.
Communicates feedback of current production status and issues to management.
Completes various reports for management.
Provides office support for shipping areas.
Answers and makes calls to/from internal/external customers as needed.
Resolves all maintenance issues.
Performs quality control inspections according to the shipping quality standard procedures.
Establishes and maintains communication with transportation companies.
Prepares and sorts outbound cases and provides billing functions in GCM system.
Manages inventory.
Performs quarterly inventory audits, identifies issues, and recommends solutions.
Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
Education and
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum three (3) years of shipping receiving experience Minimum two (2) years of team lead or supervisory experience.
Pay range:
$25.
00-30.
00/hr.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
