Graphics Technical Representative


Summary:
Reporting to the Graphic Customer Service Manager, this position is accountable for all job functions in the coordination of art and graphics for customers.
Must be able to assume the duties of the Senior Graphics Technical Representative in his/her absence and should possess all skill sets and knowledge base needed to serve as backup for Graphics Scheduler and Tech Services Data Clerk as required.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Reviews and evaluates requests and direction received from customers, Senior Tech, salesmen and brokers for printability and family consistency.
Determines appropriate course of action to take on new artwork, modifications to existing items and repeat orders.
Generates quotes to include pricing and timelines, production orders and other necessary documentation for incoming jobs.
Performs informal inspection of incoming files.
Initiates the preflight of incoming graphics media as well as coordinates the Print Assessment meeting with the required parties.
Interfaces with managers, the Senior Tech, Scheduler and other department supervisors to ensure all in-house projects stay on schedule.
Communicates graphic changes, both color and art element placement, using the work ticket, offering a summary of instructions for each of the departments required to make said changes.
Communicates directly with customers, sales personnel and account specialists regarding specific requirements.
Re-estimates proofs returned with revisions and updates job cost estimating system.
Organizes and keeps track of copies, facsimiles, electronic data and shipments within each project.
Ships proofs out to sales force and/or customers as required.
Pursues and stays current on graphics technologies, concepts of press approvals and process printing technologies.
Initiates Obsolescence and Modification forms when appropriate and creates purchase orders for materials as needed.
Review all jobs before closing to verify proper estimates and billing procedures are in place.
Responsible for quality of work, both information and materials.
Limited travel to customers, printers/converters, seminars and other companies as required.
Skills & Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
3-5 years experience in flexible packaging/prepress/printing.
Ability to accurately understand/interpret layout specifications and graphics needs.
Computer skills to include the ability to operate Apple computers, MS Office, Acrobat, SAP, Microsoft Outlook and the Internet to access pertinent information.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) with internal and external customers.
Ability to prioritize incoming work and meet multiple deadlines.
Ability to research archived files for job histories, specifications and customer profiles.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
