The Coordinator, Facilities Maintenance supports the Facilities Department and maintains Brother owned equipment and facilities systems located at the Bartlett, TN and Richmond, VA facilities.
This position supports continuous daily facilities operations with an objective of minimizing operational downtime.
This position is also responsible for managing contracted activity to include building modifications, routine maintenance, and unplanned repairs as well as developing scopes of work, researching and obtaining bid proposals.
Duties and Responsibilities Maintenance Activity Management Manage contracted resources responsible to maintain all company property for both planned and unplanned maintenance and emergency repairs Draft basic project requirements, create first-draft statement of work SOWs, and work with the Facilities Manager to identify potential contractors for facility maintenance work Hold contracted resources accountable for work performed Ensure maintenance vendor contractors receive the required Environmental Health & Safety orientation before starting work Receive all daily maintenance requests for facilities services including managing work assignments and following up with the vendor on the quality of workmanship Track work to completion and seek Contractor assistance as needed to maintain and provide facilities services when needed.
Schedule all NFPA related fire systems inspections, and inspections for all life-safety systems equipment Meet all inspection frequency requirements, and archive inspection results to thoroughly document compliance (Bartlett TN, and Richmond VA Notify the Facilities Manager of any inspection non-conformance issues When instructed, plan corrective actions to correct non-conformities Budget and Purchasing Create Purchase Orders, and perform Goods Receipts Help control facility costs Assist with tracking monthly facilities expense reporting, and future forecast spend communications Provide project management support by tracking CAPEX budgeted spend and actual spending to ensure project completion within budget Workspace Allocation Receive workspace allocations requests from employees and contractors Work with department managers and building occupants to provide suitable workspaces to meet the needs of supporting business partners Manage and account for workspace documentation to show total capacity and open workspace availability Education Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) Business, Engineering, or related field Experience Minimum 5 years of experience working in facilities maintenance in a Manufacturing or Distribution Environment including Facilities maintenance project planning Software/Technical Skills Project Management Software ( such as MS Projects) BMS/HVAC Systems Controls Fire & Access Controls Systems MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Strong communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal) Ability to build strong working relationships Strong organizational skills Problem-solving and critical thinking with attention to detail and follow-up This role will be a hybrid role.
Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week.
Assigned office days will be determined by managers.
