69/Hourly JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Financial Coordinator provides support to the Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration in the College of Pharmacy and manages the administrative activities for miscellaneous accounts and activities in the Dean's office.
This position directs and manages the administrations of programs, finances, personnel, research/training, committees, and other administrative functions within the Dean's Office DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Manages departmental expenditures, determines sources of funding, and maintains appropriate records.
Oversees receipts and invoices, reviews and reconciles ledgers for accounts, and distributes expenses to state/restricted accounts as appropriate.
Processes travel requests/reimbursements and maintain equipment and faculty space inventory.
Manages grants and contracts, assists with budget planning, and monitors the funds for state, federal, and sponsored grants.
Provides administrative support to Principal Investigators (faculty, postdocs, and students) in the development of grant and/or fellowship submissions including coordinating and gathering required documentation for submissions; enters proposal information in Cayuse.
Processes, reviews, and monitors affiliation and preceptor agreements, reviews and audits contracts, processes affiliation-related invoices, and maintains the internal system for payments to preceptors and sites for experiential training.
Creates and/or modifies positions, processes terminations and promotions for employees, and assists with the appointment of new faculty and staff.
Assists with developing, improving, and maintaining College-wide and department-specific operating procedures and protocols.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree.

Experience:
One (1) year of experience managing budgets/organizations, preferably in a university setting OR a combination of education, training, and experience equal to eight (8) years.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Oracle, Cayuse, and SAP (IRIS).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple assignments.
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills.
