28/Hourly JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, the Grants Coordinator manages the administrative and financial operations for the day-to-day oversight of grants and contracts along with other financial functions for the College of Pharmacy.
This position will also perform duties to include but not limited to, working with faculty and staff on pre-award, post-award for grants and contracts through Research Administration and Sponsored Programs.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1.
Provides administrative support to faculty, postdocs, students, and other staff with implementation of grants and/or contracts proposal information in Cayuse to include state, NIH, NFS, fellowship and other agencies.
2.
Prepares budgets; monitors the funds for state, federal, and private sponsored grants, contracts, and sub-awards.
3.
Manages subrecipient grant documentation and contracts.
4.
Manage required documentation for various of grants and contracts submission.
5.
Responds to requests from Research Administration, Sponsored Projects, and other departments and sponsors relating to the grants or contracts.
6.
Prepares Cayuse Proposals and 424 before submission and route proposals and material transfer agreements (MTA).
7.
Prepares and completes all required forms for sub-awards, carryover request, and no-cost extensions request.
8.
Notifies the principal investigator or any required grant revisions and corrections; assist with revisions.
9.
Understands and communicates the style requirements, policies and guidelines of the different agencies as well as the Uniform Guidance.
10.
Prepares grant closing documents and completes processes.
11.
Processes pay/effort changes as needed.
12.
Monitors payments for the sub-awards and contracts.
13.
Complete NCJs for contracts and purchase orders.
14.
Provides cost explanation forms for all expenses that post in error on grants.
15.
Performs account reconciliation and reviews monthly ledgers and expenditures.
16.
Monitors sub-awards and contracts payments; processes grant requests.
17.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
(TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
Experience:
One (1) year of related accounting/administrative experience, preferably in an academic or health care setting; OR a combination of related college course work in an academic or business setting to equal nine (9) years.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, project management, and computer processing.
Ability to meet strict deadlines.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Ability to provide excellent customer service.
