This individual supports new and existing healthcare datasets and assists in data collection, analysis, and design.
Supports data development to ensure consistency and integration with existing structure.
Assist in confirming the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data.
Maintains existing processes to support data analytics.
Attention to detail and the ability to communicate data analysis findings in a clear and concise manner is essential.
Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in The Health Choice Standards of Conduct.
Key
Responsibilities:
Maintains data sets and analytic tools for identifying and communicating performance.
Maintains dashboards and other reporting tools to communicate performance.
Develops and maintains data dictionaries and data maps.
Provides analytical support for identifying best practices and supporting collaborative results.
Works collaboratively with others to design data needs that identify variances in practice.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities.
Maintains an up-to-date understanding of payer regulations and guidelines.
Identifies trends and patterns through analytical processes and informs management of results.
Maintains and updates current data collection and reporting methods and measurement systems to include system validation and accuracy.
Maintains data collection methods and tools for assigned projects.
Assists in the piloting and auditing of datasets to ensure accuracy of information from collection methodologies.
Provides user documentation to ensure continuity of work processes.
Conducts data quality assessments.
Acts as support to develop and implement datasets.
Performs daily activities in the department to ensure efficient operations, quality results, and professional customer service.
Supports implementation of vendor-provided systems and communicates directly with vendor as assigned.
Performs other job functions as requested or assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related field OR a combination of education and directly related experience in healthcare information systems/decision support will be considered in lieu of the degree.
Experience:
Experience working with data sets (healthcare data experience is preferred) to translate customer needs into functional and technical requirements, model, and develop reporting solutions.
Knowledge and/or work experience with relational databases such as SQL, MS Access, etc.
Proficient with standard report writing tools such as Crystal reports, Business Objects, Tableau.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
Ability to work independently and manage self toward goals while acting as a team player.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Understanding of healthcare data and healthcare industry standards (ICD-10, CT, HCPCS, etc.
) Familiar with healthcare data sources (CMS, Medicaid, commercial payers, etc.
