As a Pre-Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for pushing our clients' cases, pursuing their interests, and adapting to the adversarial relationship from the other side.
Your focus will be on getting the best outcome possible for our clients, using your legal expertise and strategic thinking to achieve the results they deserve.
General Expectations:
The Pre-litigation Attorney has accountability for all aspects of personal injury cases including , but not limited to, evaluating the merits of each case, ensuring that the firm is accepting high-valued cases, providing guidance and counsel to clients, managing client expectations, ensuring that clients comply with prescribed client treatment.
Key Responsibilities Handling cases from the beginning to pre-litigation settlement.
Thorough re-evaluation of cases to determine the viability of each case.
Responsible for meeting with all walk-ins.
Responsible for the re-evaluation of potential client information collected by the Intake Specialist and ensuring that each case has a high potential of benefiting the firm and the client.
Performing face-to-face (usually by phone) consults with clients, minimum of three hours a day.
Explaining the personal injury pre-litigation processes to clients, giving emphasis on the importance of the client adhering to his/her medical treatments.
Completing the 14-day reviews, 60-day reviews and the 120-day reviews on all assigned cases to insure the continuing viability and value of the case.
Preparing for and conducting demand consults with the clients as scheduled.
Drafting petitions and proposed orders for Minor-Client Settlement Hearings which are either conducted via zoom or in-person at off-site at the appropriate courthouse.
Ensuring the case does not exceed the applicable statute of limitations.
Key Qualifications Licensed to practice in TN.
Licensed in AR and/or MS are pluses.
Minimum of 1-year experience in personal injury litigation, defense or plaintiffs required.
Strong negotiation skills.
A comprehensive understanding of personal injury law and insurance.
Ability to manage a demanding caseload.
Ability to Identify complex problems and review related information.
Ability to listen to clients, taking time to understand the points made and asking the appropriate questions.
Ability to display sincere empathy for clients is a must! Ability to convey information effectively both verbally and in writing.
Able to determine the relative costs and benefits of each potential case.
Effective leadership skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to follow firm policies and procedures while seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
Ability to effectively use the Firm's key case management software.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
