Responsibilities:
Ensure that a safe work environment is established and maintained and that safe work practices are followed.
Providing adequate equipment, material, and competent personnel pertinent to the maintenance operations of the repair station.
Initiation of requisitions for stock, materials, and tooling as required.
Maintain adequate levels of labor power.
Make available to his/her area the necessary repair and overhaul manuals, service bulletins, Airworthiness Directives and other required technical data.
Ensure no defective, unapproved or un-airworthy parts are installed in any article released by Q2 Aviation.
Determine the need for original and recurrent training of personnel consistent with the work to be performed.
Plan, direct and coordinate the activities of his/her area to minimize delays and increase efficiency.
Coordinate training of proper procedures, methods, and practices to be followed in each respective duty.
To ensure all shop equipment and tools are maintained in a serviceable and working condition.
Ensuring handling and preservation of all units or parts during the repair process through the shop and after work is completed.
Provide adequate equipment, material, and competent personnel pertinent to the maintenance operations of the repair station.
Ensure that all necessary work records are properly executed by the responsible technician, including the use of the most current pertinent Technical Data.
The Production Manager is responsible for the technicians, supervisors and the whole production department training needs.
He/she will track schedule, and ensure the training is properly recorded for each employee training accomplishment.
Ensures training is accessed to meet Regulatory, OEM, Customer and RSM/QCM requirements.
Provides the Director of Quality maintenance personnel in need of training.
Processes and procedures for the documentation and retention of employee training information.
Ensuring that adequate facilities and personnel are available to conduct training.
Ensuring that environmental procedures are enforced.
Monitoring company safety procedures in accordance with company policies and procedures aud state and federal regulations.
Conducting training for required safety standards.
Education and
Experience:
Minimum 5-year work related experience.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong work ethic and sense of urgency (willingness to get it done).
Must be highly organized, responsive and motivated.
Must have strong follow-up and task tracking skills.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
May be required to bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, crawl, work in tight spaces and handle objects.
Occasionally required to push/pull, stack, reach above shoulder level or carry light-weight materials up to 50 lbs.
