Job Details Description The Compensation Director is responsible for the design, disclosure, compliance and communication of the executive compensation program (i.e. base salary, incentives, stock awards, executive benefits and perquisites), broad based compensation as well as incentive compensation. This role will manage the governance process for compensation and evaluate their competitiveness and effectiveness, based on external benchmarks and key performance indicators; develop compensation package proposals, including special incentives, for attracting and retaining executive talent; oversee the administration of compensation programs (i.e. short-term incentives, long-term incentives, stock awards and executive benefits) and Incentives. In addition, this person will work with the CHRO in the preparation of Compensation Committee and Board materials. Location:
Memphis, Tennessee is preferred but remote work is a possibility What is needed for this role? Bachelor's Degree required Master's Degree preferred 3-5 years of experience in executive and broad-based compensation or equivalent years of experience in finance, accounting, and/or corporate law with relevant exposure to compensation, human resources or incentives Stock plan administration, incentive management and oversight and Compensation Committee experience preferred Broad and deep understanding of compensation theory, principles and practices to formulate design and mix of program elements preferred Extensive knowledge of accounting, financial and tax treatment of compensation & incentive programs Ability to understand financial statements, identify key business drivers from the Management Discussion & Analysis section of a company's 10-K Ability to understand and calculate key financial ratios/metrics Knowledge of SEC proxy reporting rules and Board/Compensation Committee governance practices preferred Strong knowledge of statistical terms, methods, and calculations as they related to compensation market studies/surveys preferred Ability to understand survey methodologies and evaluate data quality Ability to research and benchmark external practices, features and values of programs maintained by peers and other companies Ability to model incentive award designs, award guidelines and award payouts based on shareholder value creation principles Ability to read, understand, and apply legislation and regulations Ability to quantify and track the cost of executive management, including realized compensation analyses for evaluating the relationship between pay and performance Ability to identify key executive compensation trends or insights that may influence executive compensation program design Knowledge of behavioral psychology and economics as they relate to incentive design Strong interpersonal, communication, and consultative skills Strong data mining and quantitative analysis skills Database skills preferred Strong verbal, written and listening communication skills, including excellent presentation and facilitation skills Strong interpersonal and influencing skills Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple priorities Ability to exercise judgment and discretion without active supervision Ability to work and create effective partnerships with executives and across multiple functions and teams Ability to partner with Legal, Accounting and Finance Project and change management skills Strong problem solving and analytical skills Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Substantial business and financial acumen

Minimum Qualification
