Responsibilities:
Plans, implements, and provides clinical and administrative oversight to all Mental Health activities including requirements for staff, budget, equipment, and supplies. Mental Health at this Level 1A complexity facility is a large and expansive Service, providing a broad range of clinical services across multiple sites and locales. Has administrative supervisory responsibility of Mental Health staff:
1) Psychiatrists2) Psychologists3) Social Workers4) Nurse Practitioners5) Nurses6) Addiction Therapists7) Licensed Mental Health Counselors8) Trainees within the Department of Mental Health9) Administrative Support Personnel Has programmatic oversight and shared responsibility for all programs and staff within Mental Health Service. Outpatient Programs Intense Outpatient Programs Homeless Services Education Suicide Prevention Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (RRTP or Domiciliary) Inpatient Programs Work Therapy Community Clinical Patient Care:

Not required The individual must qualify to perform duties as a physician, have completed an accredited residency and/or possess experience which has qualified the individual to perform general duties and some specialized functions and procedures without supervision. Staff physicians may also include attendings who train physician residents assigned in facilities with residency training programs, and consultants who are capable of giving authoritative views and opinions on subjects in their field of medicine. Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. In Accordance With VA Directive and Handbook 5019. Day-to-day work involves sitting, walking, standing and carrying light objects, such as medical records and substantial computer entry. Work is typically performed in a clinical setting that exposes the incumbent to the communicable diseases common of the client population. The incumbent may be required to work an irregular tour of duly and/or weekends as needed to accommodate the schedules of patients and families.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
