AREAS OF CONSIDERATION:
FIRST: Permanently employed Air Technicians in Memphis, TN.
SECOND : Permanently employed Air Technicians Statewide.
THIRD: Qualified members of the Tennessee Air National Guard.
FOURTH: Applicants eligible for membership in the TN Air National Guard.
INTRODUCTION: This position is located in the production analysis function of a National Guard Logistics Division. Its purpose is to analyze maintenance systems and data and present results to management. Incumbent controls and maintains the Management Information System (MIS). Develops factors to measure and predict capabilities of maintenance manpower, equipment, and facilities. Controls, develops, and coordinates maintenance data systems and requirements.

Controls and maintains MIS. Develops policies and procedures for MIS application within maintenance activities. Develops factors to measure and predict maintenance manpower, equipment, and facilities capabilities. Controls, develops, and coordinates maintenance data systems and requirements. Performs other duties as assigned.

MILITARY COMPATIBILITY REQUIREMENTS : Selected candidate is required to be assigned to a compatible military unit and MOS/AFSC in accordance with TPR 303. AFSC: 2R0XX

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes and principles of management; experience using computer and automation systems.
REQUIRED SPECIALIZED
Experience: Must have at least 24 months experience which has provided a working knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques; experience analyzing, interpreting and developing policies and procedures of local management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES : Resume must reflect applicable experience.
Knowledge of maintenance management, MIS and reporting procedures, statistical techniques, information analysis techniques, retrieval and database management procedures, and concepts and application of applicable maintenance directives.
Skill in providing findings, observations and recommendations to management in the most informative manner, such as narrative, charts, graphs, visual media or briefings.
Ability to Conduct analyze surveys, comparisons, cost studies, and evaluation of mission and personnel efficiency, productivity and effectiveness.
Ability to evaluate, recommend and provide the analyst that allows management to make decisions to improve mission effectiveness, increase personnel utilization and productivity, enhance system reliability, and reduce fiscal costs.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE : Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS - Military skill set is determined by AFSC/MOS requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC/MOS in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC/MOS. Specific requirements are found in: references listed below, NGB Compatibility tables and your local Personnel section.
For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS - For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
