ResponsibilitiesThe Barge Maintenance position is critical in supporting our company by performing routine maintenance of terminal buildings, equipment and grounds, while adhering to company safety policies and performing work in a safe manner.
In this position, you will be provided with plenty of opportunities to learn other skills, develop in other areas, and build a career with Buzzi Unicem USA.
This position pays a starting base rate of $24/hour, plus the opportunity for OT!ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - REPAIR BARGES AND BARGE EQUIPMENT:
Repair Cement Pumps as part of a team Repair/Replace various Deck Fitting and Cables Repair/Replace Blowers and Dust CollectorsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - UNLOAD BARGES:
Help spot at dock Hook-up hoses and electrical cables to barges Start unloading equipment Continuously monitor the unloading process Safely operate manual unloading gates, air valves and blowers Clean all areas of the barges, terminal and groundsQualifications High School Diploma or equivalent from accredited institution is required Able to work different extended hours, holidays and/or overtime as required Must have solid Industrial Mechanical skills, as will be performing routine maintenance Speak, read, write and understand English Ability to work independently, without constant supervision Able to work near water, and inside and outside in year-round weather conditions In good physical condition, able to bend, use broom and shovel, able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs (including large electrical cables and plugs for electrical connections).
, sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders and walk on mixed terrain and in confined spaces Ability to work at heights up to 150 feet Ability to operate forklifts and tractors for cutting grassBuzzi Unicem USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
