SummaryDirects the administrative functions related to obtaining and awarding financial aid to all eligible students including functions related to compliance with any regulatory body, public or private.
Serves as a liaison between various departments and external agencies that provide funding for students.
Under the general supervision of the VP, Enrollment Management & Student Affairs, incumbent is responsible for one shift 8 hours a day 5 days a week.
Incumbents are subject to hours beyond the normal workday.
Responsibilities
Develops and directs financial aid strategies within the framework of federal and state regulations that are consistent with the enrollment management objectives of the College.
Develops, recommends and implements college policies, procedures and methods to coordinate financial aid functions within the college.

Directs financial aid staff; makes recommendation for hiring and dismissal.
Conducts performance reviews and responsible for team building.

Maintains familiarity with laws and regulations related to financial aid.
Disseminates information to appropriate personnel and directs training to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and institutional regulations.
Responsible for all financial aid audits and reporting.

Counsels students and family members on various aspects of financial aid programs and facilitates the application process.

Conducts financial aid seminars and markets the availability of financial aid to various groups and individuals to promote enrollment in the college.

Serves as data governance subject matter expert for the department and is responsible for definitions, processes and procedures, quality, accuracy and maintenance.

Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.
Requirements, Preferences and ExperienceEducation Desired:
Master's Degree in student personnel, counseling, business, or related field.
Minimum:
Experience Desired:
Seven (7) years of progressive experience in the field of administering and directing a student financial aid program in a college setting.
Minimum:
Five (5) years of progressive experience in the field of administering and directing a student financial aid program in a college setting.
