Overview:
The Event Supervisor is a part-time, hourly-paid position that plays a vital role with all aspects of assigned events at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Liberty Park including, but not limited to event conversions, moving event equipment around the Stadium and parking lot areas, etc.
This position will act an event contact for assigned events, that include team practices and other ancillary activities.
This position will report to the Event Manager.
About the Venue:
Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Liberty Park is a 58,000 seat stadium home to the University of Memphis Tigers, AutoZone Liberty Bowl and Southern Heritage Classic.
Liberty Park includes 15-acre Tiger Lane, the 27,000 sq.
ft.
Pipkin Building, 20,000 sq.
ft.
Creative Arts Building and over 70 acres of paved parking lots.
The property is great for festivals, races, concerts, fundraising events, fairs and so much more.
OVG360 has operated the Stadium for the City of Memphis since 2011.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions (including but not limited to):
Assist in the set-up and tear-down (conversion) of assigned events and activities Move event equipment and supplies in and around the Stadium and Liberty Park Serve as a facility representative at events; facilitate pre- and post-event walk through to assess facility condition; enforce facility policies and procedures throughout each event; identify and resolve event challenges; resolve public complaints; problem solve as necessary Troubleshoot during event preparation and event to ensure that all setups are correct and sufficient Supervise operations and support staff including housekeeping, set-up, utilities, maintenance, security, and banquet/event staff Directs service contractors Ability to anticipate and fulfill the needs of SBLS customers according to Spectra policies and procedures Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, contractors and facility users Make sound decisions that are in line with SBLS policies and procedures under pressure and respond with Operate and drive Stadium vehicles to assist with the event conversions Responsible for driving to/from various areas of venue to set and manage events (including move in and move out) and to tour the Stadium, Tiger Lane, Parking Lots, Pipkin Building, Creative Arts Building or any other area necessary to provide services required or requested.
Work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) work days and extended numbers of days as outlined by supervisor Non-Essential Functions Perform other duties as required

While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee constantly operates a computer and other office devices such telephones, copy machines, fax machines, etc.
; occasionally moves about inside the office to access storage areas, cabinets and office machinery; constantly moves about the arena and event sites before, during and after events to service clients and supervise staff; constantly communicates via telephone, email and in-person with others to exchange accurate information.
As business demands and event operations require occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
Work Environment:
The duties of this position are performed indoors and outdoors in the weather conditions prevalent at the time.
The noise level in the work environments is usually moderate to loud during events and minimal during non-even times.
