The State Group is seeking an Electrical Construction Buyer to support the Operations team on a large job site in Stanton, Tennessee.

WHAT YOU WILL DO Request quotations (RFQs) from vendors and subcontractors to meet project requirements.
Determine or negotiate contract terms and conditions for general and specific material and tool rental and purchase.
Review specifications to ensure the quote is accurate and meets all project and cost requirements.
Submit quotes to the Estimator and/or Manager with recommendations.
Issue purchase orders in the company's ERP system to the vendors as per the received material purchase requisitions.
Work with Project Manager and project team upon the award of the project to ensure all ordered materials are delivered to the job site in a quality and timely manner.
Coordinate with the project team, logistics vendors, and accounts payable to manage deliveries, invoicing, and change orders.
WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM 2
years of construction purchasing or procurement, estimating, or other relevant experience in the electrical or construction field.
High School Diploma.
Proficient with MS Excel and purchasing database systems.
Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Preference will be given to candidates with Post-Secondary, Technical Education, or Professional Purchasing training.
