1 1 day ago Full Job Description Summary Functions as an Advanced Practice Nurse collaboratively with physician sponsor/s providing leadership of the clinical care team and acts as a change agent for a specific patient population by incorporating the role of clinical expert, role model, consultant, educator, practitioner, researcher, and nurse leader.
Provides clinical expertise to individual patients/families and/or groups of patients/families by providing direct and indirect patient care.
Collaborates with the health care team in assessing, designing, implementing, and evaluating population-based programs of patient care to enhance high quality-cost effective patient outcomes.
Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

Education/Experience/Licensure Education/Formal Training Work Experience Credential/Licensure REQUIRED:
Completion of a master's degree or higher in a nursing specialty from an accredited program At least three years of general nursing experience of clinical practice at the RN level Registered Nurse with current license to practice professional nursing in the state of employment.
Advanced practice licensure / certification as required by state of employment.
Effective June 1, 2018:
All new hires and transfers are required to have BLS certification.
Current DEA number (if required by facility).

N/A N/A N/A Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Proficiency in applying advanced concepts, principles, and professional techniques in a specialized field of nursing.
Such proficiency is acquired through completion of a master's degree or higher in a nursing specialty and is demonstrated through national specialty certification as a nurse practitioner.
Key Job Responsibilities Clinical Practice Expert:
Provides advanced level of direct and indirect care to individual patients/families and/or groups of patients/families in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
Education/Clinical Staff Development:
Provides leadership and collaborates with other health professionals and educational resources to establish staff education programs to address the specific needs of populations of patients.
Evidence-Based Consultant & Researcher:
Demonstrates collaborative leadership with researchers, other health professionals, divisions, and departments to generate knowledge and make practice changes based on research findings, as well as, the results of the organizational and departmental quality improvement processes.
Clinical Leadership:
Provides leadership in meeting system, organizational, division, and departmental goals.
Demonstrates accountability for professional responsibilities and self-development.
Physical Requirements Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact.
Exposure to patient body fluids as well as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials.
Exposure to excessive heat or cold as required.
Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
May require handling or administering of narcotics.
Ability to read and write to communicate orally and in writing with other individuals.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Ability to sit in one place, stand, walk, squat, kneel, reach, twist, crawl, and bend.
Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motion, as well as using hands for gripping and squeezing.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
