The Business Communications Specialist will provide tactical communications support for International Paper's core businesses:
Containerboard (CB), Global Cellulose Fibers (GCF) and North American Container (NAC).
This position will report to the senior manager, communications, Global Cellulose Fibers, and will have dotted line reporting relationships with senior communications managers in Containerboard and North American Container.
The person in this role will be responsible for creating and implementing impactful communications content for each of the businesses.
They will work collaboratively with communications colleagues in all functional areas to simplify, standardize, automate and streamline communications that boost employee performance and engagement while driving business results.
Key Accountabilities:
Manage and support multiple communications tools and channels, including business content calendars, business news feeds, printed materials, webcasts and intranet Develop fresh and engaging story ideas for IPToday and business news feeds Writing, editing, presentation development
content creation for multiple businesses Analyze and measure communications channel effectiveness and provide feedback to improve communications across the businesses Partner with functional communication colleagues to integrate safety, engagement, commercial
operational excellence, and stewardship communications into business communications channels Create PowerPoint presentations for IPTV, business webcasts and meetings as needed Support business leaders by developing Power Point presentations, speeches, talking points, key messages, business letters, etc.
Support special strategic projects in Global Citizenship or the businesses as assigned Key Challenges Internal:

External communications limited to social media Scope Communicating to global employees, based in Memphis, mills, customer service and sales offices Knowledge & Experience 4-year degree in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations, English or equivalent; alternatively, 4-year degree with previous communications experience 1-2 years communications experience, corporate communications experience a plus Proven skills in writing, editing and communication skills; attention to detail is key Project management and/or event planning a plus Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office suite), presentation design, desktop publishing skills Knowledge of web-based tool development and social media a plus Internship experience a plus Graphic design skills a plus Developmental Opportunities Communications Planning and Media Training (participate, observe, and co-teach) IP orientation Media Training Respect and Dignity training Papermaking 101 International Paper Change Process Training Facilitation Training Short-Term Manufacturing support assignments Manufacturing Excellence White Belt Training Feature writing, grammar and editing courses Comments Travel required (up to 20%) Desire to relocate to one a manufacturing facility within the first 3 years (outside Memphis) Key Competencies:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
