Cook Systems is looking to hire technically proficient and ambitious people for the Software Engineer Trainee position. This position requires NO prior experience in software or systems development, nor does it require that applicants be software experts. Instead we are looking to train people who have either graduated from a 4 year college with a BA or BS degree or at least taken college courses, are comfortable working with technology, are highly analytical (preferably with majors such as Mathematics, Philosophy, Accounting, CIS, MIS, Liberal Arts or Sciences) and are willing to travel or relocate to work at our client sites. This life-changing training is 8 weeks long, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.
Candidates for this position must be energetic, ambitious, a strong communicator, willing to travel or relocate, and be capable of learning software development in a quick paced classroom environment.
Candidates will spend 100% of their time in a classroom, learning software development. After the training is complete, the candidates will be placed on or off site with a client account where they will work with the client to contribute to software design, development and testing based on the curriculum taught during the training program.
As a Software Engineer Trainee you will do the following:
Study for 8 weeks, M-F 8-5 in a fast-paced, intense classroom setting learning object-oriented programming concepts and the Java programming language.
Complete three major software development projects after proper training.
Present the final software development project to the instructor and management team.
What you need to have to qualify for the Software Engineer Trainee program:
Bachelors degree (highly desired). Degrees in information technology or related fields such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, etc.
In lieu of a degree in a technology field, demonstration of technical acumen is required (i.e. some demonstrable life interest in software, computers, etc.)
Experience and knowledge of object-oriented programming languages such as Java and/or C++
Experience and knowledge of using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL and XML
Be a strong communicator, both verbally and written
Strong work ethic
High aptitudeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
