Staff Legal Attorney
Duties: Providing legal analysis and advice, preparing and filing legal pleadings and documents, performing legal research, preparing for and conducting pre-trial discovery, preparing for and conducting administrative and judicial hearings, civil jury trials and post-trial activities. Under limited direction, works within broad limits and authority on highly complex assignments requiring specialized knowledge in Workers' Compensation.
Qualifications: J.D. or LLB required. Bachelors Degree. Member in good standing of TN Bar. 5
years of Workers' Compensation experience in current and/or last job. Commercial Insurance Defense experience. PC literate with keyboard skills, experience with word processing and email programs and significant knowledge/experience with Lexis or Westlaw. Certified Specialists in Workers' Compensation Law preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
