Job Description
Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure Services, the Systems Engineer will support all aspects of the organizations server infrastructure and network systems management including: systems design and engineering, performance management, security auditing, and capacity planning.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all servers and networking hardware/software in the corporate office, remote offices and DR site.
Proactively recommend courses of action to maintain infrastructure security, performance, and stability of the systems environment.
Ensure all computer systems and operating systems are compliant with established configuration guidelines and work with the Manager of Infrastructure Services in establishing policies on system use and services.
Provide technical expertise in planning, investigating, testing, implementation and operation of infrastructure systems and applications.
Monitor and maintain the health of all infrastructure hardware and software.
Support and report on disaster recovery readiness.
Provide guidance and monitoring relative to the EdR Cyber Security policy.
Maintain an accurate network equipment and software inventory.
Maintain documentation of network configurations, routing, and cabling layouts.
Maintain best possible industry practices with regard to network intrusion security.
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
MCSE 2008 certification a plus.
Working knowledge of networking concepts and technologies - site to site VPNs, VLANs, ACLs, routing, switching, and VoIP.
Interacts with employee clients across the entire organization in a courteous, professional manner.
Ability to handle multiple deadlines, set priorities, and achieve desired results
Self-driven/motivated, customer service oriented, effective team player
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Required Experience
Minimum
Qualifications:
Education and Experience - A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other technology related field. or equivalent. Strong knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to Microsoft applications including Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, IIS, etc. required. 2
years of virtualization and SAN storage experience required - VMware products preferred. 2
years of experience configuring and maintaining Active Directory, NTFS file shares, GPOs, DNS, and DHCP. Experience supporting, documenting, and testing DR and backup solutions - AppAssure experience preferred.
Physical and Environmental - After-hours and weekend support required. 30% travel required to company and affiliated locations. Ability to lift at least 20 pounds (required for equipment maintenance). The ability to see, hear, speak, comprehend, and communicate are required. The position may require the ability to physically inspect the properties, construction projects, and portfolio, plus the Systems Administrator must possess any abilities and skills required to carry out the responsibilities outlined above, even if not specifically mentioned herein.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
