IT Software Development Supervisor - Progress ADE(Memphis, TN) Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc. (Sedgwick), the leader in innovative claims and productivity management solutions to major employers, is currently looking for an IT Software Development Supervisor - Progress ADE as follows. Oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of Progress 4GL software developers to ensure project completion and user satisfaction and provide guidance and training to assigned team, utilizing minimum requirements. Oversee the design, development, maintenance, testing and debugging of software development built in Progress Application Development Environment (ADE).Ensure proactive and cooperative relationships exist within the team; remain accessible to team members and assist in the professional growth of the team members. Ensure successful completion of projects in conformance to project goals and requirements; ensure tasks are in conformance with company policies and procedures. Assist in interviews, hires and establish colleague performance development plans; conduct colleague performance discussions. Review the technical designs and ensure the designs meet the specifications outlined in data processing requests. Analyze the business requirements; guide team in the design of specifications to meet end-user needs. Investigate call escalations from the support staff and make the necessary corrections to data and/or software. Manage development or support of system specifications through interaction with vendor/business partners and IT staff. Develop familiarity with JURIS application, including document management, messaging reports, interfaces, claims, parameters, operational activities, vendor/business partner management. Develop familiarity with TAMS application. Keeps abreast with technology changes and directions. Must have a Bachelor's degree in information systems, software engineering, business administration, statistics, mathematics, or related field followed by 8 years of progressive experience in GUI n-tier application development position using PROGRESS version 9.x or higher. Experience may have been obtained concurrently and must include: (i) 5 years experience in progress AppServer and DataServer in UNIX OS; (ii) 3 years experience with Sonic MQ and WebServices; (iii) 2 years of web development experience in Javascript or HTML or XML; (iv) 5 years experience in multi-line claims management processes and system; (v) 5 years experience working in a transaction-heavy environment; and (vi) must have experience in all aspects of the software lifecycle and must have used Smart SVN application tool for source code control system. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
